Bang Khla Floating Market was founded by Bang Khla Municipality on December 27, 2007 in accordance with the Bang Khla District Administrative Board’s policy on the promotion of local economy for tourism by bringing unique and exceptional nature of area natural resources and environment to market leading local and nearby people to trade their distinctive local goods, native foods, OTOP SMEs, and seasonal fruits and vegetables at Bang Pakong riverbank in front of the Bang Khla District Office. The place comprises a total of nine 6x30 meters pontoons connected to each other so that farmers and traders can bring their boats here to sell goods and provide services to tourists. Operating hours are 08.00-16.00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Trip can be made by private car and bus, which is 92 km. away from Bangkok. This promotes core and supplement careers for the people to attain sustainability and increase their income. Nature exploring boat trips are available along the Bang Pakong river as well as cruising around Koh Lad that links to potential of Chachoengsao where many people come to pay homage to Luang Por Sothon and the Lord Ganesh at Wat Saman Ratanaram.
