“Woraporn” started processing mango since 1990 at Bang Phra Subdistrict, Mueang Chachoengsao District, Chachoengsao, and registered as a company on 3 July 1995. At present, the factory has been expanded at Wang Yen Subdistrict, Plaeng Yao District, Chachoengsao. The motivation that drove Chaiyarat Sothonbut, the Product Manager and successor of Woraporn Fruit Processing Company Limited, to do business in mango processing was because it is a career that he has been familiar since his childhood resulting in his experiences and expertise. As Paet Riu is a mango city, each year the mango products are oversupplied. Villagers, orchardists, of almost every household who grow mangoes must stir the mangoes that fall off the tree or get ripen every year. To increase the value of the product, they began to think about processing mangoes by applying local wisdom to develop further combined with modern food technology. As a result, not only does it help create money and jobs for local villagers including many mango planters, but also it is a center for learning promotion for both in the community and other provinces to learn and apply knowledge assets to a sustainable career. Presently, the varieties of mango that are used as a raw material include Chok Anan, Phimsen, Kaeo Khieo, Namdokmai. Woraporn has a policy to buy mangoes from the production sites in Paet Riu first. That is because Paet Riu mango orchardists are talented, knowledgeable and capable of producing a lot of good quality mangoes, so there is enough raw material to be processed throughout the year.
